It's better to look at this as a two level problem, because it is: ![]() The built in garbage collection is usually sufficient if you leave a lot of space free. The SSD will erase them (it sets all the cells to 1) when it sees fit, usually not immediately. TRIM tells the SSD that the blocks in question are free and open to writing. You can undelete, but actual data recovery is a much different thing. ![]() Data recovery is nigh-impossible on any SSD. ![]()
